Celeste's Response

ADA Gary Cobb (one of the prosecutors) said in his closing argument, "It is said in the Bible in the book of Timothy that those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, and that they fall into many snares and many senseless and hurtful desires.  They fall into ruin and perdition.  And
what follows that is one of the most famous phrases in the Bible, that money is the root of all evil.  But that's not the phrase.  The phrase that follows that is that love of money is the root of all evil, because that's what this case is about.  People loved her, but all she loved was money."

Our forefathers protected us from a situation like this by separating State
and Church (religion).  The Bible verse was used in Celeste's trial to
impress a receptive jury.  Permitting different doctrines in trials is
subjective and very unfair.

Celeste's Response

No Mr. Cobb, what the Bible says in Isaiah 10:1-2:

"Woe to those who make unjust laws,

to those who issue oppressive decrees,

to deprive the poor of their rights,

and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people

                              making widows their prey,

                                   and robbing the fatherless.

    and in Isaiah 54:17:

no weapon forged against you will prevail,

and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.

This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,

and this is their vindication from me,"

                                                                                           declares the Lord.

So, here I sit in prison practically penniless 9 years later, because after
selling all my possessions to spend almost $2 million in attorney's
fees, I have been time-barred from the Federal Courts, because my
Appellate attorney filed my petition four days late.

No apologies or refunds.

Now, two new witnesses have come forward-- so I have new evidence.

I have sold off everything I owned, and I desperately need help to overturn my conviction.
